College & university visits
Tours, Move-In & Graduation

Walla Walla is a three-campus college town. Whitman College is a private liberal-arts college founded in 1882, set on a green, walkable campus a few blocks from downtown; its Ankeny Field, historic buildings, and the campus creek make it one of the prettiest small-college settings in the Northwest.
Walla Walla University is a private university in College Place, immediately west of town, where its leafy campus anchors the community. Walla Walla Community College sits on the east side and has earned national recognition, including a past Aspen Prize as one of the country's top community colleges — its enology and viticulture program even runs a teaching winery, a fitting fixture in wine country.
For families, campus is often the whole reason for the trip. Tours and admitted-student visits run through the year, and the calendar's fixed points — fall move-in, family weekend, and commencement — draw parents and extended family from all over the country.
Because our homes range from downtown houses within walking distance of campus to larger farmhouses that sleep an extended family, it's easy to base everyone close by for the weekend. These dates book out first, so reserve as soon as yours are set.
