Pioneer Park
Walla Walla's Front Lawn
Pioneer Park is Walla Walla's great green space: an Olmsted Brothers–influenced design from the early 1900s, with mature shade trees, wide lawns, a bandstand, ponds and a long-standing aviary that children make a beeline for.
It's the town's everyday park — a morning walk, a picnic between tastings, a slow hour that isn't about wine. Spring, when the trees come back and the beds are planted out, is when it looks its best.
Several WWVacay homes sit in the neighborhoods right around the park, so for a lot of our guests it's simply the end of the block.
