About this place
Locust Street Cottage | Charming Walla Walla Stay
Built in 1912 and thoughtfully remodeled, Locust Street Cottage pairs the character of an older Walla Walla home with the comfort of a well-cared-for getaway. Set on a quiet residential street, it’s an easy walk to downtown, Whitman College and Pioneer Park—giving you a wonderfully convenient home base while still feeling tucked into the neighborhood.
Inside, the cottage is warm and comfortable, with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms that make it especially nice for two couples traveling together, a small family, or friends enjoying a few days in wine country. Recent updates, including a new living room sofa and refreshed bedding, give the home a fresh feel while keeping the charm that longtime guests have loved.
The kitchen has also been refreshed with stainless-steel appliances, including a new gas range and microwave, making it easy to linger over breakfast before heading out for the day or enjoy a relaxed dinner at home. The adjoining dining room gives everyone a comfortable place to gather over a meal or a bottle picked up during the day's tasting.
Out back, a private fenced yard offers a lovely extension of the home, with space to dine outdoors, enjoy morning coffee or settle in after a day exploring Walla Walla.
And when you want to head out, much of Walla Walla is within easy reach on foot. Stroll to Whitman College or Pioneer Park, continue toward downtown for tasting rooms, restaurants and shops, then come home to your own quiet corner of town.
Locust Street Cottage is an easygoing Walla Walla stay with historic character, thoughtful updates and a location that makes exploring the valley simple.

I stayed here for three nights with a friend for our annual wine-tasting weekend trip. We loved the house! It was very comfortable to hang out in when we weren't out and about. The beds were amazing! The location was also ideal for us. It's about a mile from the downtown area, but it's an easy walk. We liked being able to walk to restaurants and downtown tasting rooms while still feeling quiet and private when we were back at the space. I also loved the patio, and we would have used it more if there wasn't a heat wave that weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay in Walla Walla! Didn't spend much time at the Locust Street location but when we were there it was quiet and comfortable. The history of the house was interesting...loved the pictures! Appreciated the bottle of wine and the free tasting card. Also spend relaxing time on the front porch in the cute little neighborhood that was great for walking. Would love to spend time there again!!!

Great bed, towels, etc. Plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was very well stocked. We had a great 5 day stay. Thank you, Bobbie & Doug
