About this place

Birch Street Estate | Historic Home Near Downtown

Built in 1912, Birch Street Estate is a spacious historic Walla Walla home with plenty of room to gather—and an exceptionally convenient location just a few blocks from downtown.

With approximately 4,800 square feet, multiple living spaces, a large kitchen, private backyard, and room for up to 10 guests, it’s an easy home base for experiencing Walla Walla together.

SPACE TO GATHER

There’s no shortage of room here. The main living areas offer comfortable places to gather over coffee, wine, conversation, or a quiet evening at home, while the downstairs media room gives the group another place to relax and stream a movie on the 65-inch Roku Smart TV.

The formal dining room comfortably seats the group and feels especially fitting in a home of this era—a wonderful setting for dinner together after a day of exploring the valley.

KITCHEN & DINING

The spacious kitchen is designed for cooking together, with a large granite island, generous counter space, ample cookware, and plenty of seating around the island.

Whether you’re putting together breakfast before heading out for the day, bringing home provisions from around the valley, or gathering around the table for dinner, there’s room to make meals part of the stay.

OUTDOOR LIVING

Step outside to a fully fenced, private backyard with a large deck, outdoor dining, and a gas grill. It’s an easy extension of the home during Walla Walla’s warmer months—perfect for morning coffee, an afternoon between tastings, or dinner outside with the group.

At the end of the day, leave the activity of downtown behind and return to the space and comfort of your own historic neighborhood home.

For groups looking for room to gather, historic character, and a location that makes experiencing Walla Walla easy, Birch Street Estate is hard to beat.

We enjoyed our stay for reunion weekend. The house was exactly as advertised and worked well for our small group of friends who wanted a comfortable place to reconnect and catch up. The shared spaces in the house were designed for group gatherings and we loved having room to spread out. Looking forward to returning for the next reunion!

The house was a great set-up for our group of five women “coffee moms”. The living room was a wonderful gathering place. We spent a lot time there visiting. Each had a bedroom. One remarked on the excellent quality of the towels! It was well stocked. It was very easy to get to downtown and restaurants. Generally, just a wonderful place to stay! Thank you. We had a wonderful time. We hope to return!

We absolutely loved our stay in this home! It is in an excellent location with an easy walk to downtown activities. The home was well-stocked with high quality items for everything that we might possibly need. Not only was there coffee filters for the 2 coffee makers, but there were multiple types of coffee/beans including both decaf & regular. This is the type of attention to detail we found time and again. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Absolutely perfect stay. Amazing location within close proximity to everything in town. House was clean and as described and looked even better than the pictures. Very responsive host, easy check in and check out and had everything you could ever need! Overall amazing stay and would recommend to anyone travelling to Walla Walla, especially with a big group, room for everyone.

Charming, well-kept house with plenty of room for our group of friends to spread out and come together when we wanted. Lots of lovely extras like plush bathrobes and a bottle of wine. The location was terrific. We walked to shops and restaurants and were only a short 5-minute drive to other scenic wineries. First time in Walla Walla and we fell in love. Would definitely return to this house.
